Our generous partners at the Scrappy Elephant accept donations on our behalf. Please drop off donations inside their building with one of their staff members.
Alternate Donation Locations (for items that we do not accept)
CVBA Clothing Center accepts donations of clothing at their location in Charlottesville, and provides clothing to those in need. They can be reached at (434) 977-6876.
The Haven accepts donations of travel size products for their guests. They can be reached at (434) 973-1234, ext. 100.
In-Kind Donations
Shelter staff work hard to utilize resources carefully and efficiently. Donations of items from our wishlist below will help us stretch our budget further and meet the many and varied needs of our clients. We have updated our list to reflect the items most needed at this time, both by our clients who often come with nothing but what they are wearing or can easily carry, and for us to ensure that our Residential Facility operates smoothly and effectively as a temporary home for clients and accompanying children.
**We are unable to accept donations of clothing, purses, toys, and books!
**We cannot accept any opened, partially used, or travel sized items!
It takes valuable staff time to sort through donations. When used or travel size items are donated, we have to throw them away. We strongly believe that quality is dignity! Please see info under Alternative Locations to donate these items that we do not accept.
